We have been busy in our AVID classes at Campus Middle School!  Students have been working on analyzing different AVID strategies they can use to study more efficiently and effectively.  Students have also been analyzing how to use their time well and how to combat procrastination and distractions that abound in the 21st century!

Students have been continuing tutorials and it has been an incredible sight to watch them grow in their confidence and understanding of material in other classes.  Students have reflected on their goals for 1st semester and are making changes to their habits to continue making progress as they create new goals for 2nd semester.  Students have also continued to focus on the character strengths we have been emphasizing throughout the year.

AVID Recruitment is in full swing!  B e on the lookout for more information coming home about continuing AVID next year or applying to be a part of the program at Campus or Cherry Creek High School.  We will have a CMS AVID information night on January 23, at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria, followed by a CMS AVID Parent and Student night at 6:30 p.m.  We hope to see you there.
If you have any questions about the AVID program at CMS, please contact Colleen Sanderlin (csanderlin3@cherrycreekschools.org).

Have a wonderful month of January!
