School of Choice
The Cherry Creek School District allows its resident students to apply for enrollment in the Cherry Creek school/program of their choice.  In other words, you may request that your child attend a Cherry Creek school outside your assigned attendance area.  The School of Choice application process for the 2014-15 school year is an electronic application that you will be able to access online from January 1 - February 1 from any computer, at any time.  Please note that there are no longer paper forms available for the School of Choice application process.
There is a limit of one (1) application per student and all information is verified for accuracy. Applications are considered on a space available basis with priority given to families with siblings at the school and to the children of employees of the district.  Parents will be notified of the decision early March and any appeals must be submitted in writing to District Admissions by April 15.
Students currently attending a school under School of Choice or an IntraDistrict Transfer approved to the highest grade level do not need to submit an application to return to that school next year.   Non-Resident applications will be available online starting April 1, 2014.
Academic Support:
With first quarter report cards now out, it may be a good time to remind you of the support CMS has available for your children.
You can view your child’s current grades and attendance information using PowerSchool. PowerSchool can be accessed through the Campus Middle School website at: You can then bookmark the site for easier access.
COLE is the site used by teachers to post information about their classes as well as assignments.  COLE is also accessed through the Campus Middle School web site.
Both PowerSchool and COLE can also be accessed via using the same login information used to access registration materials.
This year Campus Middle School will be utilizing COLE 3.0 (aka Schoology) as our classroom learning management system. COLE is used by all teachers as a way to communicate to students about class assignments and events.
Parents will access COLE 3.0 by going to and logging in using their personal login information they created for registration.
Students access COLE 3.0 either by clicking on the COLE icon on the Campus website, or going to and clicking on the COLE 3.0 icon. Their log in information is their student username and student ID as their password.
Parents should be automatically associated with their children, so they will not need to enroll in courses or groups. All children associated with the account can be selected using the pull-down arrow in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Please feel free to contact Barry Sterling, Campus Middle School’s technology coordinator if you have any questions or concerns regarding PowerSchool and COLE at 720-554-2736 or email him at:
Please encourage your children to take full responsibility for their grades, and to seek out the extra support needed to ensure a successful year.

CMS Pre-Registration For 2014-2015
Our 6th and 7th graders will have the opportunity to enter their own elective requests on the computer, just as the 8th graders do for CCHS.  As in the past, the elective options will be explained to students, and registration cards distributed for the students and parents to decide together on the best elective choices for the student.  The student will bring this signed registration card on pre-registration day, and with guidance from the counseling office, enter their choices in PowerSchool.
The Counselors will meet with students February 4, 5, & 6 to distribute registration information.
Date students must bring parent approved and signed registration cards to school:
February 14  - 8th grade students enter approved elective choices in the computer lab
February 19  - 7th grade students enter approved elective choices in the computer lab
February 20  - 6th grade students enter approved elective choices in the computer lab
Please be sure to discuss the options with your child before the assigned computer lab day.   Please be aware that this is pre-registration – we will do our best to assign the requested courses, but there is no guarantee that students will get the courses requested. If you have any questions, please call the counseling office at 720-554-2705.
