6-1

Team 6-1 would like to say thank you to all our supportive, caring parents. Your involvement in your child's education has contributed greatly to their success. We see a lot of growth from the "rookie" middle schoolers who started with us back in August! (And we don't just mean in height!) It has been a great year getting to know your children and sharing in their successes. Sixth grade truly is a year of stretching wings, and we are so honored to have been a part of your child's year. Have a safe, wonderful, relaxing summer, and please encourage your child to come back and visit to let us know how 7th grade life is going for them! Thank you and all the best!

6-2

We have made it to the home stretch! It is hard to believe that these are the same kids who walked through our classroom doors back in August. During the first few weeks of school, we had many quiet, shy, and even scared kids (and some parents, too) starting their middle school journey. As the year has progressed, these kids have come out of their shells, have become comfortable with middle school expectations, and are improving so much academically because they are taking more responsibility for their learning. We hope that these skills will carry over to seventh grade where they will continue to experience great success.

As the year wraps up, please check deep in those lockers and around the house for any school textbooks or overdue library books that need to be returned. As the year comes to a close, we want to remind the students to stay focused until our very last day, and then relax and enjoy your well-deserved summer vacation. It has been a pleasure to work with you and your family and we wish all of you a fantastic summer. Thank you for sharing your children with us! It has been a wonderful year!

6-3

One month to go!  We are very proud of the progress our students have made this year.  There has been so much growth in all academic areas, and with new friendships.  We know they will finish the last couple weeks strong and head into summer feeling very proud of themselves.

Double check for any textbooks and library books, and have your child return them to school.  There are several activities planned for the end of the school year.  Be on the look-out for a permission slip for your child to walk over to Greenwood Village Park with the entire sixth grade.  We will enjoy a fun couple of hours there to celebrate the end of the year.  On the last day of school, students will be watching a slide show and signing yearbooks.

Thank you for being so supportive this year.  It has been our pleasure to work with your children.  Have a wonderful summer!

6-4

The final countdown!  It doesn't seem too long ago that we first met at back to school night or conferences.  Boy, does time fly;  6th grade is about wrapped up, and 7th grade is just around the corner.  Although the warm weather begs us all to come out and play, we ask that you keep your nose to the grindstone in order to have a successful end of the year.

4th quarter has been highlighted with many fabulous learning experiences. Please ask your child to share some of their new understandings from each of their classes with you.

A special congratulations to the following 3rd quarter team MVP's:  Declan A., Zach G., Jennifer K., Clark L. Sarah L., Olivia U., Kaylynn X.  These students were identified by their peers as fabulous team leaders and role models at CMS.

Finally, in order to make things go as smoothly as possible, please be looking for end of the year check out procedures.  This would include making sure that all school and library texts have been returned.

It has been a pleasure working with you and your family, and we wish you the best of luck in the years to come.
