This month's Bullyproofing lesson had to do with cyberbullying.  All students were involved with discussions and activities about how cyberbullying can have a tremendous impact on them.  Parents, please discuss with your children what things were brought up about cyberbullying.  Ask probing questions to see if they have ever been impacted by it.  Ask them about their involvement with sites such as Ask.fm.  This site, in particular, has been in the news recently due to a number of teens who had taken their lives as a result of being victims of cyberbullying.  Campus students had the opportunity to sign a pledge to end cyberbullying on a strip of construction paper that turned into a giant chain which now surrounds our commons area.  But, it'll take all of us to continue to communicate with our students to make sure they are being safe while online.  Please feel free to contact our counselors, mental health team, teachers or myself if you have any questions or concerns about cyberbullying.

Parents, remember you can check out what assigments, projects and tests are coming in your student's classes by logging into COLE (A.K.A. Schoology).  You log into my.cherrycreekschools.org and enter your email that you used to register your student.  To view your child's current grades and attendance, you will want to log into PowerSchool.  That log in will be your child's username and student ID number.  You can also let PowerSchool know that you want emails sent to you with your child's grades.

The new year will see more iPads, Chromebooks and a new computer management system that will allow increased collaboration and monitoring between teachers and student devices.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
