Welcome to Quarter 2 in Theatre Arts!  During the opening weeks of sixth grade, students explore their own creativity and the actor's tools of props and costumes.  For seventh grade students, the first weeks include an exploration of the thinking behind the actor's lines that makes the acting believable and engaging.  Eighth grade students begin their work on two improvisational skills - creativity and concentration.  All grades enjoy skill-building games and small group work to ease stage fright before formal performances are graded.  Places everyone…

In December, students in Theatre Arts are building skills with specific acting tools and experiencing frequent opportunities to perform on stage!

Also join the Campus theatre community for the after-school production of Date with a Vampire on December 11 at 7:00 p.m., December 12 at 7:00 p.m., and December 13, at 3:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5.00 for students and seniors and $8.00 for adults.  It is a comedy full of surprises! Arrive early because it’s standing room only for Campus shows!

Please note important January dates, including the vocabulary test on January 8, and the eighth-grade improvisation shows in Period 1 on January 15, and in Period 2 on January 14.
