Fall Conferences

Fall conferences are just around the corner.  Team teachers are available on several dates and have created a variety of conference styles to meet your needs.  We invite you to participate in one of the following options.  Please be sure to indicate your preferences via the Conference Request Form, that was sent home with your child, no later than Friday, September 14.  Remember that spots on these days fill up quickly, so a timely response will help to ensure the time that works best for your schedule.

Option 1 – Open House

Casually meet and visit with your child’s team of teachers.  Sixth graders’ Open House will be September 20, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm and Seventh/Eighth graders’ Open Houses will be September 27, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.

Option 2 – No Conference Needed

If you are satisfied with your child’s progress and the communication from school to home, you may not feel the need for a conference at this time.  Do understand you can always contact your child’s teachers if the need for a conference does arise in the future.

Option 3 – Telephone or Email

If you’d prefer a telephone or email correspondence from a specific teacher instead of a conference, please indicate this on the attached form.

Option 4 – Team Conferences

This is an option if you do not attend the Open House, but would still like to schedule a conference with the team.  These fifteen-minute conferences will be held on Thursday, September 20 and Thursday, September 27.  Timing is critical in this type of conferencing; therefore, we will be forced to stay on schedule.

Option 5 – Planning for Success

These are for students who may be at risk socially, emotionally, or academically; conferences are held to identify and find solutions to challenges being faced by students.    All available core teachers and other available support teachers or staff will be in attendance.  Teachers will be extending invitations for these particular conferences, but parent requests will be considered if time allows.  These conferences will be held on Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 9.  Times are listed on the attached page.

Elective Teacher Sign-Up

If you would like to confer with an elective teacher, elective teachers will be available in their classrooms on September 20 and 27.  Please feel free to visit.
