TCAP Testing

TCAP testing will take place this year on March 11, 12, and 13 for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. They will be tested in the areas of Reading, Writing and Mathematics.

As always, it is very important that your child is in attendance on those days, so please avoid scheduling appointments on those days. It is also important that your child gets a good night’s rest before each day of testing, that they begin their day with a good healthy breakfast and that they arrive to school on time. Students may bring their own water bottles and a healthy snack, as there will be one time during each testing day for snacks. No food or drinks are allowed in the testing area during testing. Suggestions for a healthy snack would include nuts, crackers, etc.

Students are encouraged to bring a book to read in the event that they finish their testing. They may NOT have any electronic device in the testing room at any time. This includes e-readers, cell phones, ipods, etc. Please assist us in reinforcing this with your child.
